Every great movement begins with a dream — and for the Iduwe brothers, that dream started on the streets of Benin City, Nigeria.
In 2011, Oseni Iduwe was hustling through life, doing menial jobs — welding by day, and chasing his true passion by night: basketball. Standing tall at 6 feet 8 inches, Oseni wasn’t just passionate; he was gifted. He saw in basketball not just a sport, but a path — a way to become the best version of himself and to rise beyond his circumstances.
Through sheer determination and hard work, that dream became reality. In 2013, Oseni earned a basketball scholarship to the United States, where he continued to grow — both as a player and as a person. Over time, he transitioned into coaching, guiding young athletes, helping them refine their skills, and securing college scholarships for them through the very sport that had changed his own life.
Back home in Nigeria, Osato Williams Iduwe, Oseni’s younger brother, was inspired by his brother’s journey. With a towering 7-foot frame, Osato shared the same drive and vision — to make something great of his life through basketball.
His dedication paid off. In 2017, Osato also earned a scholarship to the United States, where he played in the Boys Varsity Basketball team at Cornerstone Christian Academy, Willoughby Hills, OH, and later at St. Frances Academy, Maryland.
In 2019, just before the pandemic, Osato returned to Nigeria to reconnect with his roots. By 2023, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he continued building connections and supporting young athletes.
That same year — 2023 — the Iduwe brothers came together once again, united by a shared mission: to help children and teenagers in Africa discover their own potential through basketball, just as they had.
They began organizing basketball camps, training programs, and scholarship initiatives, offering young players opportunities for growth, mentorship, and education. The camps didn’t just teach basketball — they taught discipline, teamwork, and self-belief.
In 2025, their vision evolved into something bigger — the creation of Iduwe’s Foundation. The foundation was built on the belief that every child deserves a chance to dream, to play, and to grow, no matter where they come from.

At Iduwe Foundation, we are committed to ensuring that every dollar you donate makes the greatest possible impact. For most of our projects, we follow a 0% fee model, meaning we take no overhead. Our payment processor, Stripe, charges a standard 2.9% (+30¢) processing fee per transaction — this helps us minimize administrative costs while allowing you to give quickly and securely.
Many of our nonprofit partners contribute a small monthly subscription to help offset operational and hosting expenses. Some of these partners have generous donors who specifically cover these costs — allowing their projects to fully benefit from our 0% fee model.
Certain projects, however, include an overhead fee of 21.5%. This fee supports essential areas such as website maintenance, video hosting, advanced platform features, marketing, partner development, project curation, and community support. We continually strive to keep this fee as low as possible while maintaining the sustainability and growth of our mission.
Donations from Premium Partner networks incur no Iduwe Foundation overhead fees, and gifts from our broader Iduwe community benefit from a reduced fee of approximately 15%.
